Washington - On Friday, Twitter has revealed that the Facebook, Messenger accounts were hacked by an unknown person. Twitter is in contact with the respective partners regarding this matter and will restore them.
This is not the first time when a social media giant official accounts got hacked. Earlier, the official account of CEO Twitter, Jack Dorsey was hacked in August 2019 having more than 4.2 million followers. After hacking his account, the unknown person posted vulgar and racial slurs against his followers.
In a separate press release, the senior officials of Facebook has accepted that there social account were hacked on this Friday.
"Some of our corporate social media accounts were hacked but now they are being restored," Facebook spokesman Joe Osborne said.
As the internet grows, the cyber security is also getting compromised as most of the hackers are Cyber Security Professionals and they easily get the access of someone's personal data that they use for different purposes. Even the social media giants like Twitter, Facebook spends millions of dollars for their Cyber Security mechanism but still these attacks proves that the liability and privacy of someone's data on internet cannot be guaranteed of protection at any cost.
